This website presents four logistic games based on CPN Tools:

• Mortgage Game
• Kanban Game
• Distribution Game
• Beer Game

These games have been developed by Marcel Welters under the supervision of Wil van der Aalst both from Eindhoven University of Technology.

The project to develop the games was conducted within the Information Systems department of the faculty of Technology Management of Eindhoven University of Technology. The project started with searching for logistic games and modeling them using colored Petri Nets. There are a lot of logistic games available on the internet. However most of them are about the financial part of logistics, instead of the operational part. The games modeled in CPN Tools can be found in the menu on the left. Feel free to download the four games. CPN Tools can be obtained for free from the CPN Tools website.

After modeling these games in CPN Tools, Java applications that can communicate with each of the CPN models were made. The communication between the CPN model and the Java application was done using the Comms/CPN library. This library provides functions for TCP/IP communication with an external java application in standard ML. The Java/CPN library is the Java peer module of Comms/CPN, providing functions for communication with CPN Tools over TCP/IP in Java.
