Notes:

First, how the information about the user’s learning style can be represented in AHA!.
In the user model the attribute value pairs are stored for each concept of the domain model. As well there is a special concept called “personal” which stores user related information such as name, login, password and it is not related to the subject domain. In AHA! we can add arbitrary attributes to the concepts. For Verbalizer versus Imager style we can add an attribute “VERBvsIM” to the “personal” concept. The value of this attribute is an integer between 0 and 100.
It is initialized through the registration form which the user has to fill in when he starts working with the application.
When the value of this attribute is greater than 70 – the user is most probably verbalizer –information is presented with more text. If this value is less than 30 – the user is most probably imager –information is presented with more pictorial material. In between the user’s LS is not known and material which is more or less suitable for both styles is presented. With this purpose the AHA! possibility to conditionally include fragments or objects in the pages can be used.
