Notes:

To infer the user’s preference for textual or pictorial material we can start with presenting the material which will give him a choice to go either to more textual or more pictorial material.
For example, we show the user several concepts. And these concepts are presented with small pictures which can be enlarged and links to broad descriptions of the concepts. Each time the user first enlarges the images we increase the confidence that the user is Imager. If the user first goes to a full description we increase confidence that he is a verbaliser. In this case after a number of steps we can also reach a meaningful value and if the system defines that the user is an imager it starts presenting all the concepts with enlarged pictures or correspondingly for verbaliser with full descriptions.
Certainly we can present each concept immediately with enlarged image and full description however we can use the mechanism to define the users preferences.
